Last day in Guatemala

Last night we stayed at the Hostal Doña Isabel. This place was in the higher elevation of Guatemala and had lovely plants all around and was very colorful and clean. They offered us great typical food.



Saturday is Jeanette's birthday (Nancy's mother who lives in Guatemala City) and it's a tradition in Guatemala to wake up the birthday boy or girl early in the morning with fire crackers! Here's the aftermath after we surprised her with loud firecrackers!

Lastly, we took our final bus ride back to the airport and loaded in our flights back home. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to serve the Lord this week and will treasure the lessons He taught us and the new friends we made. Thank you for your prayers for safety as we all made it home, ready to share our experiences and examples of God's love from Central America.
